The Appaloosa Breeders Society of Namibia celebrates its tenth anniversary in December 2023. The first members were Pieter Hugo and Gielie Vermeulen, quickly followed by Elize Cilliers, Jaco van Zyl and Martin Wiese. As the breed is becoming more popular in Namibia, a steady increase in breeders can be observed every year – currently there are 14 actively registered breeders.
